Incepted in 1999, under its former name of Kompleks Rawatan Khas, then under the management of Hospital UKM, UKM Specialist Centre is wholly managed by UKM Kesihatan Sdn Bhd since 2001.
UKM Specialist Centre began its operation as a private medical centre on 22 April 2003, after obtaining its operating license from the Ministry of Health.
